The Mission

We're more than a store.
We're a cosign.

Showcase Drag is a queer-owned label built on one idea: the local performers who keep drag culture alive deserve money, attention, and platform. Every shirt is a small way to give them all three.

The Showcase Drag community

01 - The Problem

Local drag is where the art form is born. Tiny stages, sticky floors, $10 covers, performers driving home at 3 AM with $40 in tips. That's the engine. That's also the part nobody funds.

The mainstream loves drag now - until it's time to actually pay drag artists, book them, or amplify them. Most local performers are doing it on their own dime, on their own time, with no marketing budget and no safety net.

02 - What We Do

A portion of every shirt sold funds local drag performers directly. We make payouts to performers in cities where we can verify the scene needs support - through community nominations, not corporate gatekeeping.

We also promote them. Our @showcasedrag account has grown to 200K followers who are here because they care. When a local performer needs a boost - a benefit show, a new gig, a moment in the sun - we've got the megaphone, and we use it.

The shirt is the visible part. It's the conversation starter, the cosign you wear in public. The work behind it is what we actually do.

03 - Why It Matters

Drag is under political and cultural attack in a way it hasn't been in decades. Bills, bans, protests at all-ages shows. The performers on the front line of that fight are the same ones holding down weekly shows at the bar down the street.

Supporting them isn't charity. It's investment in a living art form - and a refusal to let the most visible part of queer culture be reduced to a trend.
